The ECO GMRS Group Repeater is an open system in which anyone with a valid GMRS License can use. It located in Hughes County and covers approximately 60 miles in the heart of East Central Oklahoma. We have made contacts as far north as Bartlesville, South as Horntown, as far east as Eufala, and as far west as Norman.
The Repeater is a Motorola 8300 UHF Repeater.
The Antenna is a CommScope DB404-B
The Controller is a WatchTower

This repeater is equipped with WatchTower's Alerting System for SkyWarn and other emergency alerts, so be sure to tune in during bad weather!

We welcome and ecourage all ages to utilize our repeater especially when additional coverage is needed. That being said, we kindly ask that everyone keep in mind that a child might be listening. We have established some ground rules to help keep our repeater "Family Friendly". Although these are not enforced, we feel that together we can maintain a fun and welcome environment for all.
  • Be a licensed GRMS Operator. Getting a license is easy! More information can be found here.
  • Be polite and respectful to other users.
  • Listen for, and acknowledge "breaks", expecially emergency ones.
  • Refrain from using profanity, vulgar, or other language that can be offensive to young listeners.
The antenna is place roughly 180 feet above ground level, giving us some pretty amazing coverage. Take a look at our coverage map to see if you might be included, or better yet, program your radio with the frequency and tone above and call out for a radio check.
